I've been lurking around here for a while, learning a great deal. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Ponce, I'm interested in what type of scooter you are getting. I bought a Yamaha Vino 125 three months ago and really like it. Gets a consistent 95-100mpg. I use it for short trips, reducing the utilization of my car. I'll probably get some sort of fuel siphoning device, so if we ever get to a point where gas is difficult to purchase (yes I remember the '70s), I can use my car's tank as my own private fueling station:cheerful: .

This 2006 Sporty Cruiser 50 is an eye catcher! Ride around on this scooter just may well be like riding around in a sports car. Don't be fooled by it's stylish looks, this scooter is full of performance. Save on gas, fun to ride and handles like a dream. If you want a fun, reliable and good looking scooter, this one is for you!
Very Reliable! The 4-stroke 150cc motor made by the Yamati Corporation has been proven to be as efficient and reliable to competitors such as Honda and Yamaha. This streamline design motor is optimized to be extremely fuel efficient yet tuned to perform with maximum torque & power. Equipped with the leading Japanese components such as spark plug and throttle-body designed carburetor, no primer button or choke lever to mess with.
Certification! The Retro Cruiser 150 is certified for street use in all 50 states. Each scooter has a federal VIN plate that is required by the (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration . Starting Jan of 2006, scooters without the federal VIN plate stating that it meets the NHTSA requirements, (DOT) Department of Transportation Certified & (EPA) Environmental Protection Agency Certified, may be unable to register in most states. In addition to those certification, the Retro Cruiser 150 is also (CARB) California Air Resource Board certified. This is required for California buyers.

Warning! Many sites claim that their scooters are EPA & CARB approved. However they do not guarantee registration! Not only does the VIN plate state that this scooter is DOT, EPA & CARB approved, our Certificate of Orgin states it as well. Don't be lucked out with a scooter that can't be register.
(DOT) Approved - (EPA) Approved - (CARB) Approved

Will you be getting any compensation for the condition it showed up in?

Had to purchase another adapter for my new scanner. My laptop doesn't have a keyboard connection so had to spend another $40 to get connector for the scanner connector to use USB -
